COFFEE TALK: From Specialist to Leader

How to succeed in your first leadership role?

Moving from a specialist role to a manager role is not just a change of position, but a whole new experience. In the next installment of the COFFEE TALK series, we’ll focus on how to effectively support new leaders through this change and help them manage their first months in a leadership role.

We will look at what competencies they need to master first, how to set up functional onboarding and development so that they can really transfer the new leadership habits into their daily practice. We’ll also focus on the most common mistakes and expectations they encounter after promotion, as well as how to be effectively supported by the company and supervisors in the beginning.
The seminar will include practical experience from the corporate environment and a demonstration of the onboarding programme for new managers directly from CETIN (Roman Št’astka, L&D Specialist).

  • practical demonstration of a development programme from a corporate environment
